Recorded in a live concert with the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias, Rossen Milanov’s recording of Stravinsky’s Petrouchka and Falla’s The Three-Cornered Hat is now available for purchase within the United States, including iTunes. Of the Diaghilev-inspired pairing, Rossen told La Nueva España in July that both Stravinsky and Falla “had a strong connection with the folklore of their native lands, but expressed that folklore in a new and radical way. The love-triangle elements of their two works also seem to bind very appropriately for this CD.”
