The approaching holidays see Rossen Milanov back on the podiums of Symphony in C and the Princeton Symphony Orchestra. In his capacities as Music Director with both orchestras, the Bulgarian conductor revisits holiday and seasonal favorites in Camden and Princeton. The program begins with Symphony in C on December 6 with a program that includes “Winter” from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, Robert Shaw’s arrangement The Many Moods of Christmas, Tchaikovsky’s “Waltz of the Flowers” from The Nutcracker, and carols such as “Winter Wonderland.” The New Jersey Master Chorale joins for the festivities.
A similar tone is set in Princeton on December 13 with Mendelssohn’s “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” a reprise of Shaw’s Many Moods of Christmas, Vivaldi’s Concerto for Four Violins in B Minor, and Dukas’s Fanfare from La Péri, among others. The Princeton High School Choir is heard in this concert.
