Principal Conductor Rossen Milanov continues his spring concerts with the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias in Gijon and the orchestra’s home of Oviedo, on March 20 and 21, respectively. The program for both performances pairs Debussy’s Three Nocturnes with Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé. Both works also feature the talents of the Choir Leon de Oro. The two works are also performed as part of the OSPA’s focus on music written for dance, particularly the dances of Serge Diaghilev, who commissioned Daphnis and created a ballet for Debussy’s nocturnes.
