Before embarking on a tour of Bulgarian music festivals in June, Rossen Milanov and the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias give two final concert programs of the 2013-14 season in Gijon and Oviedo. On May 29 and 30, OSPA’s Principal Conductor leads Benet Casablancas’s Tres epigramas para orquesta, Elgar’s Cello Concerto with soloist Daniel Müller-Schott, and Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique.
The following week, Rossen and the OSPA reunite for Berg’s Violin Concerto with violinist Renaud Capuçon and Mahler’s Symphony No. 5. Concerts in Gijon take place at the Teatro Jovellanos, while in Oviedo performances take place in OSPA’s home of the Auditorio Principe Felipe.
