Marking this week’s Prince of Asturias Awards, Chief Conductor Rossen Milanov leads Mozart’s towering Requiem with the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias in an open dress rehearsal on October 22 before October 23’s ceremony at the Auditorio Príncipe Felipe.
The highlight of Asturias’s annual calendar, the Awards ceremony performance this year is complemented by a cast of first-class soloists soprano Ainhoa Arteta, mezzo-soprano Maite Arruabarrena, tenor Luis Dámaso, and bass José Luis López appearing alongside the Coro de la Fundación Príncipe de Asturias.
