This week finds Rossen Milanov in Washington, D.C. where he returns to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center. In the spirit of the holiday season, he conducts Handel’s famed Messiah in a modern orchestration by Sir Eugène Goossens that he last performed with the NSO in 2009.
Joining Rossen and the NSO are soprano Leah Crocetto, mezzo-soprano Elizabeth DeShong, tenor Russell Thomas, and bass Iain Paterson, as well as The Choral Arts Society. Messiah can be heard on December 19, 20, 21, and 22.
