Music Director opens Symphony in C’s 2013-14 season on September 21, ushering in the 60th season of the preeminent professional training orchestra. The evening starts with a performance of Neon Lights by Jules Pegram, winner of the Symphony’s Young Composers’ Competition.
Leading the ensemble at the Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts, Rossen also conducts Dvorak’s Cello Concerto in B, featuring Emerson String Quartet alumni David Finckel as soloist. The program closes with Bartók’s virtuosic Concerto for Orchestra.
