On January 5, Chief Conductor Rossen Milanov returns to the podium of the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias for his first performance of 2015. The orchestra’s annual “Concierto de Reyes,” a prelude to Epiphany that is marked with family-friendly programming, will this year hear Nathaniel Stookey’s The Composer is Dead. Set to text by Lemony Snicket, the charming work is presented as a whodunit about the orchestra while teaching children about the various instruments that make up an ensemble. José Manuel Echéver narrates the work, which is translated into Spanish.
